	TRUSTWORTHINESS Shinrai (derived from the Japanese for "trust") is the CAMEL who always keeps her promises, always does what she says she'll do and is loyal, honest and punctual. What does it mean to be trustworthy? Don't deceive, cheat or steal Be reliable - do what you say you'll do Have the courage to do the right thing Build a good reputation Be Honest  Be loyal - stand by your family, friends and country
	RESPECT Austus (derived from the Estonian for "respect") is the LION who is confident that respect is one of the highest qualities one can have - for nature, for others and for oneself. What does it mean to be respectful? Treat others with respect; follow the Golden Rule Be tolerant of differences Use good manners, not bad language Be considerate of the feelings of others Don't threaten, hit or hurt anyone Deal peacefully with anger, insults and disagreements
	RESPONSIBILITY Ansvar (derived from the Norwegian for "responsible") is the ELEPHANT with colorful ribbons ties around his trunk and tail to help him remember his responsibilities What does it mean to be responsible? Do what you are supposed to do. They think about what effects their actions may have on others and they accept the consequences of their choices. They work hard and do their best.  They use self control.
	FAIRNESS Guisto (derived from the Italian for "fair") is the GIRAFFE who always tries to do what's right. Guisto uses his long neck to see all sides of any issue and has a gentle way of helping others do the same. What does it mean to be fair? *Play by the rules *Take turns and share *Be open-minded *Listen to others *Don't take advantage of others *Don't blame others carelessly
	CARING Karina (derived from the Spanish for "Caring") is the SEAL, who believes that you should treat people the way you would like to be treated. What does it mean to be caring? Be kind  Be compassionate and show you care Express gratitude Forgive others Help people in need

CITIZENSHIP Kupa (derived from the Hawaiian for "citizen") is the BEAR who considers herself a citizen of the world. A philosopher and poet, she believes that we are all part of the same family and must do our share to help each other. What does it mean to be a good citizen? Do your share to make your school better Cooperate Stay informed; vote Be a good neighbor Obey laws and rules Respect authority Protect the environment
